Category: Getting to Know You
Hi,
As you may have guessed, my name is Ray.
I stumbled across this site quite by accident the other day. After reading through some of the posts on the boards I realized there are people out there who do "get it" and face some of the same challenges I do. Kind of nice to know when those closest to you seem to be clueless most of the time.
Looking forward to learning new things, meeting new people and hopefully helping others along the way.
welcome, ray!
hope you enjoy it here
I've learned throughout my life that no matter who you are, there's always someone who's gone through it too. Despite all the various positive and negative personalities gracing this site, we do have this one thing in common. You'd think that would mean there'd be a lot of support here - and there is in many respects, but don't expect empathy just because of everyone's shared experiences. People here are just like anywhere else; there are some great people, some horrible people and everything in between. Welcome to the Zone bulletin Board Service. I hope you enjoy your stay.
What he said. LOL
I'm Sarah, and some like me, some wish I'd go away. But, I'm not just blind, so I have trouble fitting in, in the "Normal Blindness circles." I'm too honest, and it bites back.
I have problems that aren't going to just vanish, because I want them to. I'm still learning to accept me, for me.
Like the last poster said, there's all types of us. I'm abnormal. And, I say it with a smile.
Blessings In Christ,
Sarah
Welcome.
Hi Ray and welcome. Making new friends is generally hard to do, but I feel sure that you will find some on this site.
Howdy howdy! I hope you enjoy it here, make a lot of friends and exchange a lot of knowledge.
Hi, Ray. Welcome to the Zone. I see you're a bluegrass fan, too!
Thanks everyone!
yeah VioletBlue, while traveling with friends I attended a festival and became hooked! There's something about the unique sound of the instruments that fascinates me.
Hi and welcome!
Welcome to the zone! Good to meet you!
welcome, I see this is an old topic. you certainly are not alone.
Those of us who are not empathetic aren't exactly jerks either hahaha! I lack
empathy and sometimes wish I have it. it's very hard for me to relate to people.
I am eccentric to the t. Somedays I am proud of it others I wish I was more
empathetic. So, you get some who are more so empathetic here, some less who
are still trying to be kind. Yes, you do have your jerks on here who enjoy being
jerks for fun. and there are those that have multiple disabilities.
Welcome to the funny farm on the web!
